Getting there.

Nigel hasn’t actually completed a project in a very long time.

So today we have recently completed projects to show you!

Small bag

a small bag!

fancy bag

This was an old back I had until the strap broke 😦

I fixed the strap and then decided it needed some beads on it. Then about a year later I decided it needed some more beads. I could fix the straps again, but I don’t know what to do with it after that. It is still in my bag collection.

what is this I don't even...I’ve been playing around with a few new styles. This one was inspired by Zentangles. I’ve just discovered this and I really like the patterns 🙂

Then suddenly…

New Cat!New Cat!!!

Did Nigel tell you about New Cat?

This blog is now about cute cat.

Where are all the women?

Nigel is interested in talking about this kind of thing so I thought I just had to make a post about it at least once in this blog.

Nigel would like to know where all the women are. We often ask the question ‘Why aren’t there more women artists?’. I like to read comics. Especially if they are DC or Marvel. From the few I’ve seen I have noticed a disturbing trend: I have yet to see one done by a female artist. (But then Nigel lives in a town that believes Batman was invented by Tim Burton so it’s not surprising.)

Why aren’t there more women writers? My favourite genre is Sci-fi and fantasy. My entire novel collection my fit on one shelf but there are no women on it 😦 most fantasy worlds are created by men. I think there are a few more women in YA fiction. There are probably even more in romance (Though Nigel doesn’t know for sure as Nigel has never read romance 😦 ) But still…not as much in fantasy.

And while I’m at it: Why aren’t there more female comedians? I love comedians! But where are all the funny women? I like to watch those comedy galas and specials on TV. Quite often the number of female comedians in those is minimal. Sometimes there are none at all.

Or maybe we shouldn’t be asking ‘Why aren’t there more women artists/writers/comedians?’. We should be asking ‘Why aren’t more women artists/writers/comedians noticed?’. Where are all the women? Why are they being ignored?
